Seminar at Beijing Capital Normal University

On March 24, IEF co-sponsored an International Seminar on Youth Moral Education, together with the Research Association for the Art of Education of the Chinese Commission for the Care of the Next Generation; the Japan Moral Education Association; the Institute for the Art of Youth Education of Beijing Capital Normal University; and the Art of Education Magazine.

Prof. Li Yanjie, Director of the Research Association for the Art of Education, a famous Chinese educator and speaker on youth morality issues, had conceived the seminar as an international forum between Chinese, Japanese and Korean ( IEF) moral educators. The event was attended by 70 participants – scholars, educators, media – and held at Beijing Capital Normal University.

Several VIPs were in attendance, including: Ms Wan Shaofen, former Party Secretary of Jiangxi Province (the first female governor in China), also former Deputy Minister of the United Frontline and Honorary President of the China Society for Juvenile Delinquency; Mr Liu Peizhi, former Vice-Minister of Agriculture; Prof. Kenji Ono, President of the Japan Moral Education Association; and Prof. Zhao Wen, Party Secretary of Beijing Capital Normal University

After his keynote address, an award was offered to IEF President Dr. Joon Ho Seuk by Prof Li Yanjie and Capital Normal University Party Secretary Zhao Wen, honoring his life-long devotion to the cause of education.
