Seminars for Teachers on Character and Pure
Love education
The Chinese government has given new emphasis on moral education
in schools, and many schools are struggling to find their way
in the area of sexual health education, pulled between conservative
traditions and the influence of liberal ideas from the West.
Our co-sponsors believe it is time to renew our efforts in
presenting the values taught by IEF, and thus proposed that
we start a new series of seminars on character and sexual health
education throughout the country. We thus started a new series
of seminars for school principals and teachers in several of
Beijing districts. All were supervised and attended by district
level education officials.
The
seminars were co-sponsored by the China Education Experts
Committee, an organization led by Mr. Sun Xuece, the former
Director of the Ministry of Education’s Moral Education
Bureau. The organizers and speakers also included Dr Li Shunxing,
the former Secretary General of the China Educational Association
of International Exchange and Mr. Liu Yongzeng, former Deputy
Editor in Chief of China Education News.
